What good attendance management looks like

The objective is not just collecting clock events. The objective is producing approved time that managers trust and payroll can use without manual reconstruction.

Core workflow

  1. Employees clock in and out using the supported attendance flow.
  2. Managers or HR review exceptions such as missing events, unusual durations, or mismatched locations.
  3. Timesheets are reconciled and approved.
  4. Approved minutes become the basis for payroll calculations and labour reporting.

What to watch for

  • Missing clock-out events.
  • Late starts or very early clock-ins.
  • Long unreviewed shifts.
  • Location mismatches or invalid kiosk actions.

Approval advice

Approve time regularly, not just at payroll close. The closer review is to the actual shift date, the easier it is to resolve disputes and confirm the correct paid time.

Once timesheets are being approved cleanly, you can move into leave management and month-end payroll with fewer manual corrections.
